Facing $1.2 billion deficit, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot set to detail her budget plan Wednesday

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is expected to explain Wednesday her plan to close a $1.2 billion budget deficit. She has been considering a $94 million property tax increase, layoffs for more than 300 city workers and a gas tax hike, sources said.
