‘We want them to feel loved’: Hundreds of families receive groceries for Christmas dinner as Chicago area faces largest hunger crisis in four decades

A new report by the Greater Chicago Food Depository finds Chicago area food pantries saw an average of 50 percent more people this year. One food pantry run by a Little Village church now feeds 60 times as many families a week as before the pandemic.
